The Emir of Kuwait, who is also the Commander of the Kuwait Military Forces, was sworn in on January 2006. He received a honor title from the United Nations in 2014 for his humanitarian work, and in 2017 he was awarded the Honorary Doctorate from Kuwait University for his global role as a leader in social causes.

The diplomatic relations between the Arab country and Brazil have always been based on their strong ties of friendship.
The newly accredited Ambassador of Kuwait to Brazil, Nasser Al Motairi, has already stated his commitment in working hard to strengthen bilateral business and productivity.
ABOUT THE GULF COUNTRY
The State of Kuwait is one of the most developed and modern in the region and is currently one of the largest oil producers in the world. Kuwait also has more than 700 natural gas wells flowing through a network of pipelines connected to neighboring ports.
The industrial sector of Kuwait includes the production of fertilizers, petrochemicals, cement plants, plastics, boats and civil construction. Most of Kuwait’s oil production is exported to other countries.
